VisionAfrica are changing our name to VisionZambia. VisionAfrica have been working for the last nine years with the community in Linda Compound, Lusaka, Zambia. We have had many successes and landmarks along our journey and there is one important one on the horizon.
In a few months we will have charitable status in the UK meaning that we will need to comply with the rules and regulations of the Charity Commission and with this comes the need to change our name. Unfortunately VisionAfrica is already being used by a charity registered in the UK and the Charity Commission cannot have multiple charities with the same name – it makes things very complicated!
After much deliberation we have decided that the best name to go forward with is VisionZambia. This name reflects our commitment to working in Zambia as well as our Vision of Friends Helping Friends, a collaboration between communities in different countries with the goal of being in good relationship with each other and building a better future.
We love working in Zambia and we have your support to thank for that. If you want to check out our website you can do that at www.visionzambia.co.uk and if you want to e-mail us its: info@visionzambia.co.uk
VisionZambia was founded on the principles of Psychology of Vision and many of our members and supporters are part of this community. If you would like to find out more about the Psychology of Vision principles please click here.
We look forward to hearing from you.
